Olny in America you say … Hardly!
In light of current attitudes and the disposition of large segments of our society, some reclassification is in order. Now, as this will mostly be political in nature, I can just imagine the predisposed ire that will be forming before any references are actually made. The contrived indignation we pretend to suffer from merely mentioning simple qualifiers like, say, that I am a Reagan Conservative slams the blinders on and is tantamount to idiocy. Without any transference of information or stating of facts, the battle lines will already be establishing. It would be my guess that without any stimulation at this point, the Liberalities amongst us will have already concluded, by virtue of the author, that whatever follows will be wrong, inconsequential, inflammatory and deserving only of scorn, to name a few. Shame on us!
It seems that as a species, we have managed to reverse the upward evolutionary trend we more or less have been following for thousands of millennia. It seems that SAPIENCE is close to being surpassed by SENTIENCE as the predominant motivating ability we as human beings live by. I personally refuse to follow this trend preferring to think my way through life instead of feeling my way through or allowing others to think it through for me. I always thought the Pied Piper was a fictitious story by the Brothers Grimm … NOT a dictum to run a country.
Anyone who has had the pleasure to birth and/or raise children KNOW that they CANNOT be allowed to dictate their way through childhood, even the most liberal amongst us (albeit with less zeal than normal people) will have to agree with this sentiment. Well, we are well on our way to become a nanny state in which we will be expected … no REQUIRED to fulfill the role of children while the elitists (parents???) make all the necessary decisions for us as well as to dole out whatever benefits they PERCEIVE we need.
For those of us who have all but precipitously forfeited their right to reason, a few wisdoms are in order.
o Nothing is FREE no matter how many times you are told the otherwise. E = MC2 regardless of what you do or promise. This is an irrefutable law of Nature and has nothing to do with human desire or need.
o At some point even the most feebleminded, illiterate, socialist diehard has to realize that it is impossible for EVERYONE to receive EVERYTHING they want or are promised without infringing on the rights of other interests. The elites surely know this!
o The Earth (Nature) has managed a prosperous life with more hot and cold flashes than we are even capable of documenting let alone reasonably understanding.
o The life of the human race is as nothing on a planetary time scale and our time spent ‘despoiling the environment’ by burning fossil fuels doesn’t even equate to a perspective drop of water in all the oceans on the entire planet.
o We think so highly of ourselves that we (some) think they are capable (or qualified) to predict future millennia when we are incapable of predicting the weather for the next week.
o There is and always will be finite $$$’s to minister the country. If you progressively and unnecessarily advance socialism to the point where everyone is “EQUAL”, who is actually going to work to provide a ready taxable income for the government to leach from? … The rich elitists’, yea right, I also sell bridges.
This is an almost inexhaustible list as actual and professed self-righteous ignorance and ascendancy are rampant, particularly in all levels and branches of government. Political expedience normally has little if anything at all to do with ‘the good of the Country or the people’ governed. And ignorance and stupidity offer no insulation to the aftermath of socialism gone amuck. Don’t be fooled into a blanket belief based on self-professed experts like Gore, Carter, Reed, Pelosi or The Clintons and their ilk (not to mention Hollywood’s professed champions of injustice), who all deal with slander, ignorance and half truths at best … anything besides actual facts. If you doubt this, try to debate any of them: they won’t because they can’t or don't know how to. But this endeavor in futility is synonymous with trying to garner the actual agenda or platform of the Democrat Party or any of their individual politicos. Here in America you say … You have got to be kidding!
