Older Sony VAIO laptop @ $1,500.00 on sale   Model VGN-AR750E Intel Core 2 CPU model T8100 @ 2.10, 2.10 GHz 4 GB installed 3GB usable (32 bit windows 7 ultimate) NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT video card When I power up now, more times than not, I end up with a split screen. The right 1/3rd of my display appears on the left side of the screen followed by the left 2/3rd of the display and that is annoying to say the least. Some times this will persist for longer than a day no m...

Everyone I know is jam packed with information gleaned from their individual life experiences. This is one of the things that make us well … unique individuals. But there is no central knowledge base for us to use … or that we are all willing to use anyway. Information is not of itself knowledge (can be) because it is too subject to embellishments from a multitude of sources … usually from some higher authority or another. If that is the case, the first thing I would think o...

I want to apologize up front to Lula and KFC and others for leading them astray of my (our) true intentions. But according to the master and atheist being what they are ... the cat is out of the bag … so what the hell. I am not going to apologize because I really, really, believe in my second hand god. Without further ado, I will let my pagan boss speak for all of us, hahaha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLs7qVr0fS0 Anyone wanting to enlist in our cause ... fe...

Dr. Michael Behe’s example of Mt. Rushmore was particularly humorous. All he did was shift the emphasis to man’s enhancements and use that as some kind of useful example. The question should have been how the mountain got there to be carved by man … not what man did afterwards? Piss pour example if you ask me and yet these guys see “Mt. Rushmore’s” in most cellular activity, well wasn’t that a result of man … not anything more intelligent, hahaha...

Well Mother always used to say “the proof is in the pudding” and that is how I see Religion in any form. So, if the Catholic Church (the only Church of Christ?) has been unable to prove their elevation of Jesus to God status in over two thousand years … what in the world are you guys going to prove now? Absolutely nothing is what but that is ok... I finally figured this out. Logic will not even dent your armor as well we know and proof is meaningless to people who don't ...

The type of (PC, Xbox) games I have enjoyed and their general genealogy are as follows. I wish I had my Atari 800 or 1200 ... oh well. I first got hooked on Unreal Tournament when that was the whole name (and all the versions up to present). From there I branched out to other shooters like the original Half Life (and all the versions up to present). There were a lot of these around like Doom and Castle Wolfenstein that were iffy to me. Eventually my teen age Son got me to playing Left 4 Dead (an...

Actual History is chockfull of the rise and fall of religions for millennia … many Ages. And they all have the following in common. Whenever they became week enough to lose control of the majority of the sheeple, they are replaced with a new Messiah and a new message just as the Christians have done with the ‘old Jewish’ religion when that too lost its strangle hold on the world of Man due to its barbarism as perceived by man in a new Age. Anyone who lives in a future tim...

A Knight’s Tale, hehehe Just watched this movie again and it is still a favorite of mine. You have to love a movie concerning knights and such … especially with a human wave in the beginning. This movie gives us a new perspective on the art of courtly dancing, hahaha. I don’t want to tell you much more (don’t want to ruin it), but the life’s lessons therein are spot on. It demonstrates how power and status can both be used for good and bad … sort of the s...

Personally I like the Book of Genesis as it makes an interesting read if one is into strange fantasy.  In The beginning there was either nothing or something depending on your point of view. It is strange but let’s take a look at the nothing concept first:   DAY 1: In The beginning there was nothing but darkness and out of the darkness came the One God who always was … in the darkness? Well eventually God became tired (?) of the darkness after however long and decided to...

Wherever you think man came from is fine with me, but man from his inception was corporeal and as such was only privy to what his senses could perceive (and much later his instrumentation) … of the real world (universe). In order for there to be any coexistence between varieties of people (like more than one), a vernacular had to be (and was) established. Humans having no known extrasensory functions, established our language around those things we knew to exist (or existed) and are (were...

When I think of torture the first thing that comes to mind is Vietnam and the rat pits and well you should know what I mean.  But there is no end to the chain of torture throughout man’s history. Of course there was Rwanda and Darfur to name a couple to bring things to more modern times. If I think of religion then I think of the inquisitions while States and City States speak for themselves. We have at least a 20,000 year history...

In a past life (last 10 years) when I was suffering mental fatigue, I was a self-professed neoliberal. Thanks to CharlesM for informing me this was the new (worldly) term for neocon, go figure.  Well, I used to become disgusted when terms were being redefined before my very eyes by the liberal zealots. Then, something happened, a great brain fart I suppose and I grew a real conscience and boy was I surprised, no doubt. Many ...

From the Manitoba Herald: May 10, 2011 The flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the illegal immigration. The recent actions of the Tea Party are prompting an exodus among left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and to agree with Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck…  Now Canada Has a Border Problem You have to just love the liberal munchki...

Privileged Planet (Chapter 1of 12) the search for purpose in the universe Intro and Voyager 1 and 2 … Privileged Planet (Chapter 2 of 12) the search for purpose in the universe Aristotle and Ptolemy, Greek scholars – established the geocentric view (universe rotated around the earth) which theory prevailed in western cosmology for 18 centuries.  1543, Polish astronomer Nicholas Copernicus  discovered that the Earth rotated around the sun as all the heave...

This is my own personal definition of today’s politics … “one bunch of idiots running around calling the other bunch of idiots, well idiots, known as the theory and practice of governments”. Politics has no constructive use in our daily lives. It is the propaganda mechanism of all governments and is implemented for control and manipulation of the people, to bring them into their political arena. What would we do without our unbiased free press unburdened by oppressi...
